Low yielding high quality Dolcetto fruit from a 30-plus year old vineyard are carefully vinified and aged in barriques for added complexity.

Deep ruby red with intense fruit and notes of vanilla, wild berries, and tabacco. Named Filius to honor the winemakers’ children and made in a brilliant vintage; Merlot “purists” who appreciate pure unadulterated Merlot are sure to fall in love with this wine.

This varietal Pinot Nero from the great estate of Bricco Maiolica is a treat, as only 360 cases (exactly 12 barriques) of this spectacular wine are released each year. Very varietal in the nose (think Beaune instead of Nuits) but also very typical on the palate, tannic and concentrated (think Nuits instead of Beaune). Plenty of class and potential for aging.
